Hey Jesper, do you know someone we could talk to in Sweden about Carry Freedom distribution?

  1. Leif says:

Hello again — will the Leaf be compatible with your surfboard trailer when they’re both complete?
    Thanks,
    – Leif

    • Bob says:

      Hi Leif,
No, the LEAF and the Surf Trailer will be different. These days there are surf boards and paddle boards, but also ladders and with the surf trailer we can use our Looong Arm to pull a very long load. The angle of the LEAF would not allow for this. You could use the LEAF for carrying golf clubs for example. Regards. Bob

    Hi,
Another interested customer from Sweden, do you have a release date for the Leaf? Is It possible to preorder?

    • Bob says:

      Hi Joachim,
thanks for your enquiry. Still not sure of the final date and the price yet. The Euro is causing us some headaches right now. I do not want to take pre-orders until i have all the details of price and delivery. Otherwise i don’t think it is fair to customers. Keep informed here on this website. We need a Swedish distributor ;>))) best regards Bob

      Hi Stuart,
We won’t be ready for June i am afraid. We are still optimizing the design. We want to make it perfect. Sorry not to have better news. Stay in touch on this blog.
      Thanks

Ready to purchase in US. See you are working with Tern and QBP. How do I get my hands on one?

    • Bob says:

Hi Preston, Thanks for your comment. LEAF will be ready in September. Tern and QBP will have them soon after that. We are still putting the final touches on the product. It’s going to be very cool. We will also be at the Interbike in September with Tern. Keep checking back here. Bob

Hey Bob, Great product very practical and light, would like to see a mesh back to make it even lighter, congratulations from Mexico !

    • Bob says:

Hey Cesar, how are you? Mesh idea was thought of but rejected. We have to make the LEAF fir all climate conditions, so also rain and snow. And some trailers that use a mesh or a non-solid backing tend to flop and have no solid base. Thanks Bob!

  5. Cindy says:

I am hoping to use the Leaf to tow a Tern Mini Airporter with a Dahon or Brompton. I am guessing the suitcase could be strapped sideways? Do you think that would work? Cool design 🙂

    • Bob says:

      Hi Cindy,
yes you can use any suitcase to sit on the sideflaps. I did this recently with an ice cooler that was otherwise too wide for the LEAF’s platform. You need some good straps for this. i suggest the ROK Straps. But it works great. You need to take some care not to hit any corners, because your load is wider than the wheel base, but it’s easy.
      Hope this helps….
      Bob

Is there any chance that we will ever be able to actually buy one of these things (Leaf) I have been looking at them for literally years now, It seems to be getting even harder to find any information on availability or dealers.
after endless excuses about production difficulties I eventually gave up and bought a Travoy, but it’s not exactly what I wanted.
I would be interested to know if the Leaf has ever been produced and sold anywhere in the world, ever, and if not,why not ?
    Sincerely
    A very frustrated potential customer.

    • Carryfreedom says:

      Hi Nobby,
The LEAF is a never ending story. The first delay happened because we needed to build our own hinges, because we needed stronger hinges, than those we found in the cabinet industry. Then we made 150 LEAFs, which i thought would be enough before we made a bigger production run. The 150 were sold out so fast that i was surprised, Switzerland sold a lot and it went to the USA, but our UK distributor did not take any when they were there. we only had them for a few weeks in our web shop before they were sold out. So if you like it’s all my fault. i should have ordered more. Now we have a big order being made right now, but it still won’t be here until November. The consequence of these delays is that we are looking into making the trailers in Europe now. I don’t really make any excuses, but we are not Burley or Thule or any of the other big guys. We are just a small company, juggling cash flow and doing product development and sometimes we make a wrong decision. And that is also very frustrating for me. Thanks for your understanding! Bob

LEAF is available now. Also the Hand Cart Handle is in stock. Interesting new product is a flag/holder that can be fitted to all Y Trailers. If you have a old trailer (pre-2017) you have to drill one hole. All new trailers have the hole ready and waiting for this useful article. We also have some very professional flags to fit with the holder. They are not cheap but the pole is 6.5mm thick (about 2mm thicker than most bike flags) and it comes with a streamer included. Never be ignored again in traffic. Everything is in the Web-Shop.
